Navany is a very recent American coinage of uncertain origin; it is usually explained as a blend of Nevaeh or Nova with the -any ending of names like Brittany, and carries no traditional meaning beyond its "new" sound from nova. It did not appear in the national statistics at all until 2022. Navany has climbed quickly from about number 4870 in 2022 to number 2048 in 2025, its best rank so far.
