Namari is a modern American coinage with no traditional meaning; it follows the pattern of Jamari, Kamari and Amari and is usually explained as the prefix Na- joined to Omari, the Swahili form of Omar, "flourishing" or "long-lived". Namari was almost unknown a decade ago, at number 13444 in 2015, and has shot up to number 1673 in 2025, its best rank so far, with 99 boys.
