Myla is a modern name of uncertain origin, usually read as a feminine form of Myles or as a spelling of Mila, the Slavic short form meaning "gracious" or "dear". Its two soft syllables fit the current taste for Mila, Lyla and Kyla. Myla entered the US top 1000 in 2005 and has gained ground steadily, from number 337 in 2015 to a peak of number 181 in 2023; it ranks number 210 in 2025.
