Luna is the Latin word for "moon" and the name of the Roman moon goddess. Luna Lovegood of the Harry Potter books gave it a dreamy charm, and celebrity parents Chrissy Teigen and John Legend chose it in 2016. Luna was at number 1324 in 2000, reached the top 100 in 2016 and the top 10 in 2022 and 2023, and ranks twenty-seventh in 2025.
