Kristopher is a spelling variant of Christopher, which comes from the Greek Christophoros and means "Christ-bearer", after the legendary saint who carried the Christ child across a river. The K spelling became popular in the United States in the 1970s and 1980s, alongside Kristin and Kristian. Kristopher ranked number 295 in 2000, slid to 593 by 2015, left the top 1000 in 2022 and stands at number 1190 in 2025.
