Keilany is a modern American variant of Kehlani and Keilani, names built on the Hawaiian Kailani, which means "sea and sky" from kai, sea, and lani, sky or heaven. The spelling with -lany follows the pattern of Ailany and Leilany that is popular with Hispanic families. Keilany was rare a decade ago, ranking 8216 in 2015, but has climbed steadily to number 1198 in 2025, its highest position yet.
