Kaomi is a modern American coinage that reshapes Naomi, the Hebrew name meaning "pleasantness", with a trendy K- opening; it also recalls Japanese names such as Kaori. It has no traditional history of its own. Kaomi only appeared in the statistics in 2019 and shot up from number 11,874 that year to number 2,165 in 2024, its peak, before settling at number 2,707 in 2025, with 64 births.
