Kamazi is a very recent American coinage of uncertain origin, built from the popular Ka- opening of Kamari and Kamden and a rhythmic -azi ending; it has no established meaning and is best described as a "modern coinage". In the United States it was practically unknown until 2020, when it ranked number 8390, climbed to number 1541 in 2024 and reached number 1022 in 2025, one of the fastest-rising boys' names of the moment.
