Journei is a modern spelling of Journey, the English word name that means "journey" or "voyage" and comes from the Old French journee, a day's travel. Word names with a hopeful message, such as Destiny, Serenity and Journey, became popular with American parents in the 2000s, and the -ei ending is a newer twist. Journei has stayed outside the US top 1000, with a best rank of 1219 in 2021 and number 1447 in 2025.
