Jaziyah is a modern American coinage that pairs the Jaz- of Jasmine with the -iyah ending made famous by Aaliyah. Jasmine, the source of the first syllable, is a Persian flower name and means simply "jasmine". Jaziyah reached number 2149 in the United States in 2011, has stayed between roughly 2900 and 4000 for most of the years since and stands at number 2373 in 2025.
