Izayah is a modern American spelling of Isaiah, the Hebrew Yesha'yahu, which means "God is salvation" or "the Lord saves". The biblical prophet Isaiah gave the name its weight, and the phonetic spelling with z and y took off in the 2000s. Izayah entered the top 1000 in 2006, peaked at number 817 in 2011, stood at number 1106 in 2015 and ranks 1784 in 2025.
