Fatimah is the Arabic form of Fatima, the name of the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad and wife of Ali, one of the most revered women in Islam; it is usually explained as "one who abstains" or "one who weans". The final h reflects the Arabic spelling and is common in Malaysia, Indonesia and among African American Muslims. In the United States Fatimah peaked at number 1618 in 2020 and sits at number 2070 in 2025.
