Eziah is a modern American coinage with a biblical ring, usually read as a blend of Isaiah and Ezra or Ezekiel; the -iah ending echoes the Hebrew element for God, so parents often take it to mean "God's gift" or simply "God is", though no such Hebrew name exists. It rose fast in the 2020s alongside Ezra, Josiah and Isaiah. Eziah broke into the top 1000 for the first time in 2025, landing at number 610.
