Emarie is a modern American coinage that combines the sounds of Emma and Marie, so it is usually read as "whole" or "universal" from the Germanic Emma, joined to the French form of Mary. It can also be heard as a respelling of Emery or Amari. Emarie reached its peak at number 2002 among US girls in 2018 and has eased to number 2786 in 2025.
