Damarion is a modern American coinage that joins the prefix Da- to Marion or Mario, names that go back to the Roman Marius and are usually linked to Mars, so the name is often glossed as "of Mars" or "warlike". It belongs to the same family as Demario, Jamarion and Damari. Damarion entered the US top 1000 in 2003 and peaked at number 562 in 2005, but has faded since to number 2212 in 2025 with 64 births.
