Aleya is a variant of Aliya, the Arabic name meaning "exalted" or "sublime", and it also echoes the Hebrew aliyah, "ascent", the word for moving to Israel. The -eya spelling softens the name and brings it close to Aleah and Leya. Aleya ranked number 2238 in 2000, spent much of the 2010s between 2200 and 3500 and reached number 1873 in 2025, its best rank so far.
