Aletheia is the Greek word for "truth", literally that which is "not hidden", and in Greek mythology it is the name of the personified spirit of truth and sincerity. Philosophers from the ancient Greeks to Heidegger have written about the concept, which gives the name an intellectual air. In the United States Aletheia had fewer than five births in 2000, reached number 2580 in 2020 and stands at number 2897 in 2025 with 58 births.
