Alahia is a modern American name of uncertain origin, most often read as a variant of Alaia and Aaliyah, names that go back to the Arabic Aliyah, "exalted" or "high". The spelling with h in the middle gives it the airy look of Aleah and Alayah. Alahia was almost unknown before 2015, rose sharply in 2024 to number 1681 and ranks number 1778 among girls' names in 2025.
