Ailyn has two sources that American parents blend freely: the Turkish Aylin, which means "halo of the moon", and the Irish Aileen, a form of Helen usually explained as "bright light". It is particularly popular in Hispanic families, where it is pronounced eye-LEEN. Ailyn stood at number 2142 in 2000, peaked at number 1044 in 2012 and ranks number 1318 in 2025.
