Adrianna is a feminine form of Adrian, from the Latin Hadrianus, "from Hadria", the town in northern Italy that also gave the Adriatic Sea its name; the Roman emperor Hadrian built the famous wall across Britain. The double n spelling became the favorite American version in the 1990s and 2000s. Adrianna was number 216 in 2000, peaked at number 169 in 2007 and has fallen to number 872 among girls in 2025.
