Aadhya is an Indian name from the Sanskrit adya, meaning "first" or "the beginning", and is used as a title of the goddess Durga as the primordial power. It became one of the most popular girls' names in India in the 2010s and is a favorite of Indian-American parents; the double a shows the long first vowel. Aadhya entered the US top 1000 in 2016, has been in it every year since 2022 and ranks number 960 among girls' names in 2025.
