Sanova is a brand-new American coinage that attaches the Sa- opening of Savannah and Sanaa to Nova, the Latin word for "new" that has become one of the most popular girls' names of the decade. It has no history before 2020 and no meaning beyond that of its parts. Sanova first appeared in the records in 2020 at number 8870, jumped from number 3685 in 2024 to number 2926 in 2025, its best rank so far, with 58 births.
