Sai is an Indian name used especially in Maharashtra and the south, where it honors Sai Baba of Shirdi, the revered 19th-century saint; the title is usually explained as "master" or "saint". Many Indian American families use it as a first element, as in Sai Krishna, but it also stands alone. Sai ranked number 3618 in 2000, has sat between 1865 and 2615 for the past decade and reached number 1863 in 2025, its best rank so far.
