Renata is the feminine form of the Latin name Renatus and means "reborn" or "born again", a name early Christians chose to mark baptism as a second birth. It has long been popular in Italy, Poland and across Latin America. In the United States Renata entered the top 1000 in 2011, peaked at number 461 in 2017 and has stayed close to that level since, ranking number 481 in 2025.
