Kylen is a modern American name built on Kyle, which comes from the Scottish Gaelic caol, meaning "narrow strait" or "channel", with the fashionable -en ending of Jaylen and Kaylen. It is a name of sound rather than old history and offers a less common alternative to Kyler and Kylan. Kylen entered the US top 1000 in 2017, reached number 877 in 2023 and ranks number 879 among boys in 2025.
