Koe is a modern American name of uncertain origin, usually taken as a respelling of the Hawaiian Koa, "warrior" or "brave", or of the surname Coe. Its sudden appearance matches the rise of Texas country singer Koe Wetzel, whose fans began using the name in the late 2010s. Koe first shows up in the statistics in 2018, peaked at number 1495 in 2024 and ranks at number 1627 in 2025.
