Kimora is a modern American name of uncertain origin, usually explained as an elaboration of Kim with the Japanese-sounding ending -ora, or as a "blend of Kim and Kimberly" with a touch of Japanese style. Model and designer Kimora Lee Simmons brought the name into the spotlight in the early 2000s. In the United States Kimora entered the top 1000 in 2004, peaked at number 291 in 2008 and ranks 1157 in 2025.
