Kianna is a spelling of Kiana, a name usually explained as the Hawaiian form of Diana, which goes back to the Latin for "divine" or "heavenly". It became popular in the United States in the 1990s and is sometimes also linked to the Persian Kiana, meaning "elements of nature". Kianna peaked at number 629 in 2000, has been outside the top 1000 for the whole of the past decade and ranks number 1507 in 2025.
