Khrome is a modern American word name, a respelling of chrome, the bright metallic finish whose name comes from the Greek chroma, "color". It belongs to the newest wave of bold, invented boys' names like King and Legend, and the K-spelling is typical of that style. Khrome first appeared in the records in 2021 at number 11510 and has shot up to number 2550 in 2025, its best rank so far.
