Jase is a short form of Jason, the Greek name that means "healer", and it is often used as a sleeker alternative to Jace. Its popularity in the United States owes a lot to Jase Robertson of the reality show Duck Dynasty, which premiered in 2012. Jase ranked number 1155 in 2000, entered the top 1000 in 2002 and shot up to a peak of number 89 in 2013, then fell as quickly as it rose and ranks number 717 in 2025.
