Haris is a name with two separate sources: in Arabic it is a form of Harith, "cultivator" or "plowman", and in Greek it is a short form of Charalambos linked to charis, "grace". It is especially common in Pakistan, Bosnia and Greece, which is why it reaches the United States from several directions. Haris peaked at number 1711 in 2002 and ranks number 2428 in 2025.
