Debora is the Italian, Spanish and Portuguese spelling of Deborah, a Hebrew name that means "bee". In the Old Testament Deborah is a prophetess and the only female judge of Israel, who leads her people to victory in the Book of Judges. In the United States the spelling without the h has been remarkably steady, never leaving the band between number 1881 and 2436 since 2000; it ranks number 2336 in 2025.
