Bjorn is the Old Norse name Bjorn, which means "bear" and was borne by Viking chieftains and later by two Swedish kings. Tennis champion Bjorn Borg and ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus made it familiar to Americans, and the TV series Vikings gave it a new audience. Bjorn entered the US top 1000 in 2017, peaked at number 766 in 2021 and ranks number 829 in 2025.
