Avyay is an Indian name from the Sanskrit avyaya, which means "imperishable" or "unchanging", one without decay; the Bhagavad Gita uses the word for the eternal self and for Krishna. It is a recent favorite among Indian American families alongside Avyaan and Advik. Avyay had fewer than five births in 2000, climbed from number 6025 in 2015 to a peak at number 2477 in 2024 and sits at number 2680 in 2025 with 48 boys.
