Ahaan is a modern Indian name from the Sanskrit ahan, meaning "dawn" or "first ray of light", a bright wish for a new beginning. It rose in India in the 2010s alongside Aarav and Ayaan and shares their long opening vowel, which the double a spelling makes visible. Ahaan has climbed among Indian American families from number 2189 in 2015 to number 1621 in 2025, its best rank yet.
